What happens if it doesn't work out? Maybe they changed their minds or don't have the time or just lost their passion for the community. That's ok, we can break up. Don't be afraid to say goodbye.

As an exceptional leader can move the community forward, so too a bad leader can stagnate or even worse take it backward. If a leader breaks the code of conduct that we have established in Structure - the decision might be straightforward. The leader should be a role model and if they aren't setting a good example then we may need to part ways.

What happens when a hand-raiser wants to take on a more defined role within the community? Usually, they are eager. But they might not be the right fit. Find them a role to play. They can always grow into a role anyway.

Vetting. Seek genuine and qualified people.

  1. What does it mean to be a qualified leader in the community?
  2. How can we vet for genuine leaders? Are they genuine and passionate about the communities purpose?
  3. What are our feedback processors?
